SOFIC 2018: Pentagon fields X-MADIS to down drones

A US military service has fielded a new technology to jam and down incoming enemy UAS.

At the request of the military, the Sierra Nevada Corporation, Ascent Vision and RADA Technologies pulled together to develop the eXpeditionary Mobile Aerial Defense Integrated System (X-MADIS). 

The system is a self-contained, mobile and integrated counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) that electronically jams multiple UAVs at a time that are several kilometers away.
