SOFIC 2018: Dry Combat Submersible moves to production

With receipt of a successful “Milestone C” acquisition decision in mid-April, USSOCOM and its industry partners are now moving into production for a total of three Dry Combat Submersible (DCS) platforms. 

Program status was outlined during this week’s Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) in Tampa, Florida.

“Dry Combat Submersible is an innovative new approach to moving swimmers to their mission site,” explained Gero Murray, a business development executive for Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems. Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor for DCS, supported by major subcontractors Submergence Group LLC and MSubs Ltd.
