SOF to enhance NATO air ops support

Special operations forces must be better positioned to provide enhanced support to NATO air operations, an official report has disclosed. 

The NATO Joint Air Power strategy, published on 26th June 2018, describes how air power and special operations must remain mutually beneficial across the contemporary and future operating environments.

However, it also highlighted how special forces, maritime and cyber units could be optimized to “better support air power with intelligence, targeting support and post-strike assessment,” the strategy added.
