Policymakers look to SOF future

US policymakers will be provided with the opportunity to question the future role of Special Operations Forces as part of a series of legislative reviews due to be initiated over the course of Fiscal Year 2019, a Congressional Research Service (CRS) report has disclosed.

According to an updated edition of the “US Special Operations Forces: Background and Issues for Congress” report, which was revised on 29th October, legislative provisions associated with the National Defense Authorization Act, will allow policymakers to consider US Special Operations Forces’ capability to “counter future threats across the spectrum."
