Japan to set up DARPA-style institute to tackle evolving threat of cyber warfare
Japan’s Ministry of Defense is devoting government-level effort and funding to tackling the growing problem of cyber warfare.
Supacat had two of its HMT Extenda vehicles on display at Land Forces 2018 in Adelaide, both being production models destined for commandos in the Australian Army.
A total of 89 HMT Extenda Mk II vehicles were ordered for the 2nd Commando Regiment, and nearly all have been delivered under a $105 million contract awarded in August 2014 under Project JP2097 Phase 1B (Redfin).
This regiment is based at Holsworthy in New South Wales. In service it is called the Special Operations Vehicle - Commando (SOV-Cdo).
