Special Forces Communicators (SFC) attached to force elements in US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) have shed light on emerging restrictions facing operators conducting electronic warfare in the contemporary operating environment.
According to one SFC who is attached to USSOCOM’s Naval Special Warfare Command and works regularly with Navy SEAL Teams in expeditionary operations, operators remain extremely limited in the amount of equipment they can carry on a mission.
The SFC, whose identity remains undisclosed due to operational security, explained to Shephard how combat loads relating to EW equipment remained ‘limited in space’.
