Denmark to provide EH101s for Task Force Takuba
Denmark will provide an undisclosed number of EH101 helicopters as its main contribution to a multinational task force to bolster security in the Sahel, Shephard has learned.
Task Force Takuba was established on 27 March and will be deployed to Mali in the summer.
Participating nations are Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Mali, Niger, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and the UK.
A Danish MoD press officer said that the EH101 transport helicopters are already deployed on Operation Barkhane in Mali. Denmark will also send up to two staff officers to join the task force.
