Afghanistan graduates additional women operators

Afghan Special Security Forces (ASSF) have taken a further step towards full incorporation of women into its ranks with the General Directorate of Police Special Units (GDPSU) becoming the latest force component to graduate female operators.

According to officials from NATO’s Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan (NSOCC-A), an initial graduation of females into GDPSU Provincial Response Companies (PRCs) was conducted on 4th April at the Special Police Training Center at Camp Wak in Kabul.

Female operators already work alongside the Afghan National Army Special Operations Command’s (ANASOC’s) Tier 1 Counter-Terrorism (CT) unit, Ktah Khas (KKA), as part of the Female Tactical
