MASS, SEA for Progeny programme
Cohort companies MASS and SEA have been selected to form part of a new maritime research and development programme being managed by QinetiQ for the UK Ministry of Defence, it was announced on 12 March.
QinetiQ has been contracted by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory to manage the Progeny Maritime Research Framework contract to enhance technologies in the maritime defence environment.
The contract will see QinetiQ build and manage a community of interest who will contribute ideas to maximise the impact of science and technology for UK maritime defence.
MASS provides capabilities in electronic warfare, cyber and information management, while SEA develops maritime combat systems including sub-surface communications and sonar, self-defence weapons and autonomous technologies.
