UDT: Longer life for electrical torpedoes
Atlas Elektronic Group and Advanced Lithium Systems Europe have launched their new Lithium Iron Phosphate rechargeable exercise battery for electrical torpedoes.
Features of the battery include a longer battery life, enhanced safety, and easier and more flexible use.
‘The product has passed all relevant NATO STANAG and Germany VG tests. We expect to receive certification soon,’ said Thorsten Bochentin, senior sales manager at Atlas Elektronik Naval Weapons Division, on 11 June at the UDT exhibition in the UK.
The battery has been developed at the request of the Germany Navy, which will take it into use upon certification.
