UDT Europe: Teledyne unveils new Pathfinder DVL
Teledyne RD Instruments (TRDI) announced on 17 May the launch of its ultra-compact 600kHz Pathfinder Doppler Velocity Log (DVL).
The Pathfinder is designed to provide the latest generation of small UAVs, ROVs and USVs with a compact, lightweight, on-board underwater navigation system.
Derived from TRDI’s DVL technology, the Pathfinder provides an array of advanced internal algorithms, sensors and features previously reserved for larger, high-end solutions.
Its bottom tracking range of less than 20cm to over 80m means the Pathfinder is suitable for use by vehicles ranging from the smallest inspection class ROVs and mini AUVs to larger AUVs and observation
