Rohde & Schwarz on 30 June reported that it has recently provided a modernised communications system for a Romanian Navy Cosar-class minelayer, which is part of Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 2.
The Vice Admiral Constantin Balescu now features modern R&S M3SR software-defined radios (including the Series 4100 HF and Series 4400 VHF/UHF).
Hansjörg Herrbold, VP Market Segment Navy at Rohde & Schwarz, said: ‘In less than four months, we provided the Romanian Navy with a tailored system.
