Raytheon to modify JSOW data link radio
Raytheon Technologies is to modify the data link radio on the AGM-154-C-1 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) for the USN, under a $10.24 million order from Naval Air Systems Command.
The company will be responsible for non-recurring engineering in support of integration and testing of the modified Cryptographic Modernization Tactical Air Command Network 1.0 data link radio.
Work will be completed in Tucson, Arizona, by August 2022.
According to Shephard Defence Insight, a Network Enabled Weapon moving maritime target capability was incorporated in JSOW-C production units (AGM-154C-1 variant) from FY2009 onwards.
