Qatar seek fast patrol boats

The US State Department has approved a possible foreign military sale (FMS) to Qatar for an undisclosed number of Mk V fast patrol boats in a deal that would be worth more than $124 million.

According to a release issued by the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) on 23 August, the Qatari government requested, in addition to the patrol boats, eight M2HB .50 calibre machine guns, FLIR systems, MLG 27mm Gun Systems, support equipment, personnel training, contractor engineering and in-country support.
