Polish MCM vessels under construction
Construction of the second Kormoran II-class minehunter has commenced and the Polish Navy is now moving forward with the long term effort to enhance its maritime mine countermeasure (MCM) capabilities.
The future ORP Albatros (602) will be built by a consortium of the Gdansk based Remontowa Shipbuilding, OBR CTM (Osrodek Badawczo-Rozwojowy - Centrum Techniki Morskiej) from Gdynia and PGZ Stocznia Wojenna.
The vessel is scheduled to be delivered to the Polish Navy in January 2020.
