Pakistan receives first maritime patrol ATR 72
The Pakistan Navy’s (PN) Air Arm received back an ATR 72-500 turboprop maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) during the second quarter of 2018. It is one of two being refurbished for the navy.
This information was revealed by a subcontractor involved in the build. Aerodata said in a press release on 2 July, ‘This delivery represents a major milestone for Rheinland Air Service as prime contractor and Aerodata as the key project partner.’
Rheinland Air Service, an aviation MRO company based in Germany, received a contract in 2015 to convert the pair of ATR 72s into MPAs. Work commenced in January
