With maritime law enforcement agencies sailing to the frontline of maritime flashpoints in the Indo-Pacific, accompanied by an increasing frequency of involvement by maritime militia forces, it might be easy to reach the conclusion that so-called ‘grey hulls’ – the regular navies – have taken a backseat.
