MoD reappoints SEA as naval combat system service provider
MoD Defence & Equipment Support (DE&S) in the UK has reappointed defence and electronic systems specialist SEA as provider of Naval Systems Integration Process Service (NSIPS) Phase 3 for the RN.
This follows a five-year contract managed by SEA.
The new three-year contract — won in open competition — has an initial value of £1.88 million ($2.58 million), rising to £2.5 million with an optional two-year extension.
SEA will provide the Maritime Combat Systems team in the MoD with a change management and configuration control service for in-service submarines and surface ships, in order to streamline naval system procurement and generate time and cost efficiencies for the MoD.
The company will also continue to manage the GRIFFIN database it previously built for NSIPS.
