Leonardo Marlin 40 naval gun approaches first sale
After launching its Marlin 40 lightweight naval gun in March 2018 manufacturer Leonardo says that it is now in the contract phase with at least one customer.
Though the Rome-based company could not confirm who this customer is due to legal restrictions it is understood that the sale will be outside of Europe. The gun was first shown at DIMDEX 2018 in Qatar.
‘We have at least five [opportunities] of which one is in the final phase of the contract,’ said Massimo Gualco, director of marketing and sales at Leonardo Defence Systems.
