Leonardo delivers upgraded vessel to Bahrain
Leonardo has delivered the second of six upgraded ships, Al Muharraq, to the Royal Bahrain Navy during a ceremony in Mina Salman at the Royal Bahrain Navy headquarters.
The Bahrain navy awarded Leonardo a €50 million ($57.1 million) contract in 2015 to upgrade six naval vessels. Bahrain received its first upgraded ship, Al Manama, in December 2017.
The upgrade includes the installation of a new weapon control system, training services and logistics.
