Israel heralds successful test of new anti-ship missile
A new and as yet unnamed anti-ship missile, developed by Israel Aerospace Industries for the Israeli Navy, was test-fired for the first time in the Mediterranean in late September.
During a sea trial, which also involved the Israel MoD Directorate of Defense Research & Development, a missile was successfully fired at a dummy target (pictured).
Israeli defence sources indicated that introduction of the missile will enhance its offensive naval capabilities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
