GDMS awarded LCS combat management system support
General Dynamics Mission Systems has been awarded a contract for sustainment of the Littoral Combat Ship Integrated Combat Management System, the US Department of Defense announced on 31 October.
The $90.6 million contract includes development, integration, test and delivery of future combat system baseline upgrades for in-service ships; supporting ship integration, installation and checkout; and developmental test/operational test.
The company will also perform work to develop training and logistics products; provide field technical support for the combat system; provide hardware engineering and equipment procurement, life-cycle supportability engineering, and provide fleet support for fielded baselines.
Work will be completed by October 2024.
