Farnborough 2016: USCG flexes its Spartan muscles (video)

Only three months after the first HC-27J unit was activated on the West Coast, the US Coast Guard (USCG) has brought one of the aircraft to this year’s Farnborough International Airshow 2016 (FIA 16).

As part of an effort to increase medium-range surveillance capabilities, the USCG is reactivating several C-27J ‘Spartan’ aircraft put into storage by the US Air Force. Aircraft have several USAF specific parts, including armour, removed at a logistics facility in North Carolina.
