USMC considers ATVs for ITV replacement
All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are being included as one of the options to replace the US Marine Corp (USMC) Internally Transportable Vehicle (ITV).
An RFI released in November 2014 for industry candidates for the ITV Replacement (ITV-R) closed in January and it stated: ‘It is anticipated that some ATV's may meet many of the listed requirements and therefore ATV's are included as possible candidate vehicles for response to this RFI.’
This is different to the US SOCOM GMV1.1 programme which selected the GD-OTS Flyer ALSV vehicle or the SOCOM ATV programme which chose Polaris. The USMC RFI calls for submissions of the
