AUSA Global: US Army outlines Stryker lethality upgrade
The US Army has unveiled the design for the new 30mm Stryker Lethality Upgrade, which includes an unmanned remote turret and 30mm cannon.
At the AUSA Global Force exposition, Col Glenn Dean, US Army Project Manager, Stryker Brigade Combat Team, pointed to the ‘integral and critical’ role being played by the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment in support of US allies in Eastern Europe.
He said that lessons learned from those operations, coupled with the army’s overall modernisation strategy, translated to the need to ‘provide a long rifle to the dragoons’.
