US Army orders MaxxPro technical support
Navistar Defense on 16 October received a $44.82 million contract modification from the US Army, to provide technical support services for the MaxxPro family of MRAP vehicles.
Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of 31 March 2023.
More than 12,000 MaxxPro vehicles have been delivered in nine major variants to US forces and 15 allies militaries, according to Shephard Defence Insight.
The vehicle is powered by MaxxForce 8.7D or MaxxForce 9.3D engine. It can climb a maximum gradient of 60% and a side slope of 30%, with a payload of 1,700-3,800kg depending on variant.
