US Army confirms SRC as E-LIDS provider
SRC is to develop, produce, deploy and support the Expeditionary-Low, Slow, Small Unmanned Aircraft System Integrated Defeat System (E-LIDS) for the US Army.
Work under the $425.87 million contract, announced on 23 July, will be completed by late July 2025.
In 2019, the DoD signalled its intention to order up to 100 E-LIDS systems, plus logistics and sustainment services, from SRC.
The E-LIDS capability is also required to detect, track, classify, evaluate and defeat Group 1, Group 2, and low-end Group 3 UASs.
In a related effort, DRS is providing the US Army with a Mobile Low, Slow Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Integrated Defeat System (M-LIDS).
