UK announces Babcock as DSG preferred bidder
Britain’s biggest defence support company, Babcock, has been selected by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) as preferred bidder for the acquisition of the government-owned Defence Support Group’s (DSG's) land business.
DSG’s land business has a wide range of engineering support capabilities including assembly, maintenance, repair, overhaul and upgrade of existing armoured and non-armoured vehicles, mainly to the British Army.
Babcock already provides engineering support, fleet management and training support on most of the UK based British Army’s vehicle training fleets such as Challenger 2 main battle tanks and Warrior infantry fighting vehicles at the Bovington, Bordon and Arborfield military
