Taiwan advances CM32 8x8
Taiwan has stated that 205 production variants of its CM32/CM33 8x8 Cloud Leopard armoured vehicle were completed by the end of 2014.
Built by the Ordnance Readiness Development Centre (ORDC) both the CM32 command vehicle and CM33 armoured personnel carrier (APC) variants are armed with a remote-controlled weapon station (RCWS) boasting a 40mm automatic grenade launcher and T74 7.62mm machine gun.
The APCs are part of a first batch of 368 vehicles. Total production of the CM32 family as announced to date will total 652 vehicles by 2021. Construction is part of an effort by Taiwan to modernise its military
