Stark delivers Arrow-3 canisters to IAI
Stark has delivered its first Arrow-3 anti-ballistic missile canisters to its parent company Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), it was announced on 5 September.
Mississippi-based Stark was recently selected to manufacture canisters for the Arrow-3, an integral component to the latest generation of missile defence systems developed by IAI and deployed by the Israeli Air Force.
IAI is the prime contractor for the Arrow Weapon System - an upper tier defense system designed to defend against ballistic missile threats - and is responsible for Arrow 2 and 3 interceptors development, production and system integration. The Arrow-3 interceptor capabilities defend against longer range, higher altitude (exo-atmospheric) and precise ballistic missile engagements.
The combined interception capabilities of the Arrow-2 and Arrow-3 will enhance Israel's missile defence shields.
