SEA to lead Soldier System team
SEA has been selected by the UK government to lead a team in the area of Soldier System research and development (R&D), the company announced on 30 January.
The contract has an initial value of £700,000 for 2018 but is likely to continue until 2021.
The contract will see SEA lead a team of specialist companies to develop a weapon system which combines new and emerging small arms technologies to produce an integrated system that will deliver better effectiveness for the individual soldier on the battlefield.
Andy Thomis, chief executive of Cohort, said: ‘This contract recognises our position at the forefront of Soldier System R&D and our capability as a prime contractor. This contract award, together with other recent wins, enhances the visibility of future group revenue.’
