Romania seeks 100mm rounds
The Romanian MoD has opened an EU-wide tender for procurement of 100mm ammunition for the army.
Interested parties must submit a bid by 12 October.
The eventual 42-month contract will be worth RON18.24 million ($4.36 million) and will cover delivery of between 600-3,800 rounds, with the option for at least 1,100 more.
No details were disclosed about specific weapon types that will fire this ammunition, although the Romanian Land Forces are known to operate the 100mm M1977 anti-tank gun and a 100mm cannon is the main armament on the TR-85-M1 MBT (pictured).
