Rheinmetall wins Skyshield order
Rheinmetall Air Defence has received an order for its Skyshield system worth $122 million from an undisclosed Asian nation, the company announced on 23 April.
Skyshield is an all-weather short-range air defence system for protecting high-value assets.
In addition to reconnaissance sensors, 35mm fire units and command and control equipment, the company will also provide a comprehensive logistics and service package. This will include training for operators and maintenance personnel along with technical assistance and live fire exercise support.
Rheinmetall will deliver the systems over the course of the next three years.
