Raytheon develops new rifle sight
Raytheon has developed a new close quarters rifle sight that allows ground troops to identify targets more quickly, the company announced on 10 October.
The new ELCAN Specter optical reflex sight features a large window and LED technology that provides soldiers with a sharper image. Designed specifically for use in close quarters, the sight's large high transmission windows allow users to keep both eyes open for increased situational awareness.
The 1XL reflex sight offers multiple reticle options, with the ability to switch from red dot or red dot with circle patterns without compromising image quality.
According to Raytheon, the sight is being evaluated by several militaries.
