Puma missile system tests near completion
Final testing of the German Armed Force's anti-tank missile system on its fleet of Puma IFVs is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2018, with initial fielding scheduled for 2020.
Two and a half years after the first production vehicles were delivered to the German Army in 2015 a total of 185 Pumas have been accepted, a further 157 units are expected to be delivered by 2020.
All five variants of the IFV will be equipped with the multirole light guided missile system (MELLS), a spokesperson for the German Armed Forces told Shephard.
