PT Pindad signs medium tank and Pandur II agreements
State-owned PT Pindad has concluded two agreements for armoured vehicles for the Indonesian Army, one for the Kaplan MT medium tank and another for Pandur II 8x8 armoured vehicles.
For the tank, a letter of intent (LoI) worth an estimated $135 million was signed by the Indonesian MoD and PT Pindad on 12 April. In it the MoD reaffirmed that it wishes to buy the medium tank, with an initial order for an estimated 18-21 vehicles.
