Turkish delight at two Philippine Army contracts

FNSS has reaped two recent contracts in the Philippines - for armoured combat earthmovers and for one-man turrets.

Shephard reported in February 2020 that the Philippine Army had selected the Kunduz Armored Amphibious Combat Earthmover (AACE) from FNSS. This has now moved into contract, and the Turkish company has enjoyed further success in the Philippines with Sharpshooter turrets to be installed on tracked APCs.

Under the Combat Engineering Equipment Lot 4 programme, Manila will acquire the AACEs through a government-to-government deal. The MaxDefense Philippines blogsite reported a quantity of six combat earthmovers, with potential for more in the future.
