Russian redcaps put Patrol on the road

Armoured and mine-resistant vehicle is being rolled out to Russian military police for use in foreign operations.

Expansion of its international reach over recent years, including ongoing operations in Syria (pictured) and the recently established peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh, has focused attention in Russia on the need to procure armoured and mine-protected vehicles for convoy escort and patrol missions.

To that end, Russian military police aim to acquire hundreds of new Kamaz Patrol vehicles in the course of 2021 for operations at home and abroad. Five of these vehicles had already been delivered at the time of writing, although no details are available of the exact quantity to be supplied.
