Philippine Army engineers to bridge capability gaps
Philippine Army combat engineers will be receiving Kunduz Armored Amphibious Combat Earthmovers from FNSS, but other equipment in the form of bridges and vehicle-mounted mine detectors are on their way too.
Both these latter projects fall under Horizon 2 of the armed forces modernisation programme, and notices of award for both were issued in January via government-to-government deals.
The Combat Engineering Equipment Lot 3 Dry Support Bridge project was awarded to WFEL in January, according to the MaxDefense Philippines blogsite.
