Dutch to buy CATV in joint procurement
The Netherlands announced its intention to procure 124 new tracked vehicles for the Marine Corps on 25 September. The platforms will be acquired under the multinational Collaborative All-Terrain Vehicle (CATV) procurement programme.
According to the Dutch MoD, the procurement process will cost €100 million to €250 million ($116 million to $292 million) with the option to purchase additional vehicles.
The new platforms will be delivered from 2024 to 2027 and will replace part of the ageing Bv206 (pictured) and BvS10 Viking fleet. They will be lightly armoured and deployable in extreme conditions, such as snow, mud and other types of
