Australia orders NVGs and develops sovereign C4 network
Australia’s Department of Defence announced on 10 December that the country’s military will soon be sporting a ‘cutting-edge night-fighting capability’ thanks to new night vision goggles (NVG).
The contract awarded to Mission Systems Australia was worth A$173 million ($130 million), and it covers more than 5,500 helmet-mounted fused NVGs. No mention was made of the type of NVG, but the named supplier is a subsidiary of L3Harris Technologies.
