Poland orders more Rosomak command vehicles
Eight vehicles are destined for the Polish 16th Mechanized Division.
Rosomak SA is to supply eight eponymous 8x8 wheeled command vehicles to the 16th Mechanized Division of the Polish Army, under a contract from the Armament Inspectorate of the Polish MoD.
Deliveries under the PLN73.7 million ($19.91 million) contract will be made in 2021-2022.
As well as the Rosomak vehicles themselves, the deal includes a logistics and crew training package.
Command vehicles enable operators to conduct covert digital radio and audio transmission of classified data. At the same time, applied design solutions allow the command vehicles to be connected to the Polish Mission Network 2.0 ICT system developed at command posts.
Poland has ordered 937 Rosomak vehicles in various configurations, according to Shephard Defence Insight.
