Philippines inducts 100+ M113A2s
The Philippine Army formally inducted 114 BAE Systems M113A2 armoured personnel carriers (APC) on 4 February.
The vehicles are being supplied under the US Excess Defense Articles (EDA) programme.
The army’s Mechanised Infantry Division (MID) held a ceremony at Camp O’Donnell, the division’s headquarters well north of Manila. The first batch of 77 APCs reached the Philippines on 9 December 2015, while the remainder arrived at the port of Subic Bay five days later.
