Nexter Systems, DCI team for French armed forces training
A joint statement from Nexter Systems and Défense Conseil International (DCI) has revealed that the two companies will work together to offer joint capability provision for the French armed forces in the areas of training, consultancy and operational assistance for equipment supplied by Nexter.
Nexter supplies weapons systems and munitions for French army, air force, navy applications; while DCI provides outsourced services in consultancy and assistance throughout the life cycle of weapons programmes, and training services.
The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding that will see projects built around Nexter systems combined with the provision of training, consultancy and operational assistance services that DCI can provide. Where appropriate, the services will be integrated in the field of simulation and on-board simulation.
For the French Army the companies will also explore subcontracting partnership solutions for the Draguignan military schools. The DCI structures that make up part of the schools will be reinforced with education and training tools, such as Generic Virtual Training, to enhance conclusive training projects.
Philippe Burtin, CEO, Nexter Systems, said: ‘In keeping with our strong partnership policy, Nexter has sought to strengthen its offer with DCI and thus offer services that are more tailored to meet the needs of the forces. This agreement will allow us to propose comprehensive offers under the label of French excellence.’
