New IADS capabilities tipped to topple Western fighter jets

Leading Russian and Chinese Integrated Air Defence Systems (IADS) are on course to introduce active seeker missile capabilities that will drastically reshape target identification accuracy of low flying enemy aircraft.

Over the next five to ten years, the S-400, S-300V4 and HQ-9C SAM systems could conceivably integrate such technology to make ‘successful interceptions’ against targets which would otherwise be outside the range of air defence system launch batteries, according to Justin Bronk, research fellow for airpower and technology at RUSI.
