New French Army rifle deliveries start
The French armament procurement agency, the DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement) has taken delivery of a first batch of new rifles.
The first tranche of HK416F 5.56x45mm assault rifles is intended for French Army. The HK416F is a specific modification of HK416A5 for France. The batch was delivered in early May.
A first firm tranche of 5,340 HK416F rifles was bought by the DGA according to a 22 September 2016 contract worth approximately €168 million with Heckler & Koch SAS France. It is part of the AIF (Arme Individuelle Future) programme that will gradually replace the existing versions of the
