The Polish Army has signed a deal with arms manufacturer FB ‘Łucznik’ - Radom for up to 53,000 new rifles likely destined for the country’s newly-formed Territorial Defence Force (WOT), created to deter aggression from the east.
The contract – worth half a billion dollars – to supply the new Grot rifles was signed at this year’s MSPO exhibition in Kielce, Poland, and is believed to be the largest order of small arms for the Polish Army since the end of the Cold War.
