Malaysia replaces SAM
Malaysia is replacing its Starburst very short-range air defence system (VSHORADS), which has been used to defend military bases, with an offering from Thales UK.
Thales is supplying the Starstreak surface-to air missile system to ‘protect key national assets against both established and emerging threats’, while Global Komited is providing Weststar GK-M1 4x4 vehicles on which lightweight multiple launchers will be mounted.
