LAAD 2013: New Spider vehicle unveiled

A new tactical 4x4 surveillance vehicle – the Spider SC1 – built by Plasan Security Systems has been introduced at the LAAD exhibition in Rio de Janeiro.

The lightweight and armoured Spider is designed for survivability and manoeuvrability across all types of terrain. It is powered by a 6.7 turbo diesel engine and has seating for 11 troops with access to nine gun ports providing a 360 degree field of fire.
