Kovico seeks further breakthroughs in Southeast Asia
A lesser-known South Korean armoured vehicle manufacturer displayed two 4x4 vehicles at Defense & Security 2019 in Bangkok, as Armor Kovico makes a concerted attempt to exploit initial successes in the Southeast Asian market.
The name Kovico is an abbreviation of Korea Vehicle & Industrial Company. Relatively new to the market is the Korean Multipurpose Vehicle (KMPV), a 4x4 protected mobility vehicle whose development was completed in April 2018. It offers NIJ Level IV ballistic protection levels and STANAG 4569 Level 2 anti-blast protection.
